What do you do?

I'm not sure how to start this post! So, I'll just dive right in~yesterday someone very dear to my heart passed away. She was my aunt, she wasn't old... She just had cancer. The dreaded C word. She left behind 3 children... I think that is the sadest thing in the world when a mother passes and has to leave her children. It's a horrible thought... I have 2 young children. And, this all has me thinking about my own life. What do I do? Do I really make a difference somehow? Do I really live the way I want to? Am I healthy enough? These are just some of the questions I need to find answers for, so I'm going to take a short blog posting break. I guess to do a little soul searching and maybe trying to, I don't know, maybe try to take better care of myself and maybe just rest.... How many of us just take a "REST"?? If you really think about it, we as mother's and women don't really ~rest~ We can't!!!! So, I'm forcing myself to try to do just that!!! I will be back soon, I just didn' t want to take a break without letting you know!!!! So, in the meantime, enjoy some more antiques!!!!!~

Take care, and "Take a Rest"!

Carrie, I'm so sorry for your loss. Cancer is an insidious disease. I and truly hate it. We have lost two in our family this past year, so I can understand what you are going through. Please take care of yourself.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your aunt,my heart goes out to you and her family.
I lost my Grandmother and Uncles within 2years and although painful, I now view them as Angels above looking out for me and who I send extra prayers too.

As for your own health and life, continue to believe in yourself with good health and strength, know you can accomplish anything, most importantly hold onto your faith and prayers!

Happy Holidays My Friend!
Magic and Joy!

You take a rest too, and I should be ashamed of myself and not resting more during my medical leave. I thought it was my only opportunity to get a few things done. Silly me. I am sorry about your Aunt.

Sorry to hear of your loss, strangely odd you pop up on my blog, I hope my faeries made you smile. I love the birds sounds, reminds me of english gardens my mother had, I see you are from the midwest, me too. Chicago is home, but I live in the country in FL. Vintage and antiques rule here. I love all things old, with history. So glad you popped by, I'll be keeping up on your blog,
Thanks for the kind words for the newbie blogger.

I love your treasures...I just found your flickr today. Don't know how that one slipped by me, but, I love all the pictures of the shops and stuff. I lived in Ohio & Western Pa. for awhile. I'm familiar with the wonderful little shops in the Amish communities and thereabouts~Some of the best secrtes are usually hidden in small towns~Thanks for sharing!!
Take care of you~

I understand this all to well Lola...
my mother battled with cancer for years when I was a child. It's a tragedy when a child looses a parent and never more so than to the dreaded C. I'm hear to say that we do grow beyond the pain but never forget the loss. I've used my memories to help with pink movement in her honor but more importantly I grew up learning to value each moment we share with the ones we love and in turn have passed that on to my children. I feel it's the very best way to live life.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog to say "Hello". I look forward to visiting yours again.

All the best to you ~ Sharon

Carrie, So sorry for your loss. I lost my cousin who was like a sister to me 2 years ago. She was only 48.

It does make you pause & appreciate life, doesn't it?

Take care.
