Hello.... It has been awhile, and let me explain.........

I have changed in so many ways since I've last blogged. My life has took alot of turns, I barely recognize the person in the mirror. I stopped blogging, put away all of my art, supplies, and imagination. I put it all in boxes. Boxes gathering dust. I no longer feel the way I used to.

I thought what I longed for was a simpler life, then life came at me, full speed.... Many changes have happened, I won't bore you with the details... But, I have come to realize something and I'd like to share it.

No matter who you are, no matter where you live, what car you drive, or how much money you have.. You will always have you. So, where ever you are in life, live to the fullest. Because life can come at you and take everything you cherish. All the wonderful things in life every one takes for granted.....

I vow now to make changes in my life to make it the best it can be. And, along the way I hope to share some of those good things with you. I will be moving soon as well, so please bare with me. You all have waited on me long enough!

So here's to the gypsy's who run free........

Hello.....

I have been away for sooooo long!! A few minor medical problems and a summer with my 2 children have kept me busy! And, then when it was time to finally do a blog post, guess what?!?!

I came to find out that my computer and my camera are no longer on speaking terms!!!!

I have no idea what started their problems with each other, I will never know. So, for the sad news, I can't post a giveaway because I can't take pictures of anything. Of nothing...

I even thought about just deleting my whole blog, but something just won't let me do that right now.

But, I am thinking of maybe a secret surprise giveaway where nobody will know what they've won until it reaches their magical abode!!!!!!

Just maybe I'll do that!

Nice to be back, but very upset about not being able to post any new pics... So, I might just share with all of you anything new and exciting that I come upon online!!!!!!

Hello!! I have to tell you something.... I deserve a **BAD BLOGGER** award!!! I haven't been posting regularly and I haven't posted about much of anything when I actually do post! I could give you a million and one reasons, but I'm sure you all know them!

There's nothing better than a good book and the time to look through it! I visited one of my favorite blogs (http://twopixiedolls.blogspot.com/) not to long ago, and she gave a little sneak peek at this book titled "Art Making, collections&obsessions" by Lynne Perrella.... So naturally I had to run out and see what it was all about, I couldn't wait to sit down and take a look.....

This is one of the most fascinating pictures....

There's so many artists in this book, just to name a few....

Then I stumbled upon this sunshiney book! Sew Pretty Homestyle by Tone Finnanger.

Everything is so pretty and if you can sew (which I cannot) it looks pretty simple. I just may try my hand at it!!!!

And, If you remember, I had a cottage naming contest awhile ago and the name that was picked was "Gypsy Hollow". I'm starting my very own notebook on the "Gypsy Hollow" look and lifestyle!

And, lastly... I'm going to be putting up some flea market finds for sale! Aahhh, simpler times! I just admire Tasha Tudor! Even in modern times, she lived a simpler more pleasurable life than most! I dream of days long ago. What it must have been like!

Her Vermont home, though only 30 years old, feels as though it was built in the 1830's, her favorite time period. Seth Tudor, one of Tasha's four children, built her home using hand tools when Tasha moved to Vermont in the 1970's. Tasha Tudor lived among period antiques, using them in her daily life. She was quite adept at 'Heirloom Crafts', though she detested the term, including candle dipping, weaving, soap making, doll making and knitting. She lived without running water until her youngest child was five years old.

From a young age Tasha Tudor was interested in the home arts. She excelled in cooking, canning, cheese-making, ice cream making and many other home skills. As anyone who has eaten at Tasha Tudor's would know, her cooking skills were unsurpassed. She collected eggs from her chickens in the evenings, cooked and baked with fresh goats milk, and used only fresh or dried herbs from her garden. Tasha Tudor was renowned for her Afternoon Tea parties.

This is my place of.... {{OOOOmmmm}} My peace and serenity! This is my favorite vintage/antique shop I visit! As soon as you step inside and close the door it's like you've stepped right into another world completely. All of your senses tingle! The smell of insense is in the air, it's dimly lit, and there is music that I've never heard play on the radio!!! All of the outside world seems to blissfully fade away and all of my worries seem to do the same! Have a little look around!!!!~

I'm not sure how to start this post! So, I'll just dive right in~yesterday someone very dear to my heart passed away. She was my aunt, she wasn't old... She just had cancer. The dreaded C word. She left behind 3 children... I think that is the sadest thing in the world when a mother passes and has to leave her children. It's a horrible thought... I have 2 young children. And, this all has me thinking about my own life. What do I do? Do I really make a difference somehow? Do I really live the way I want to? Am I healthy enough? These are just some of the questions I need to find answers for, so I'm going to take a short blog posting break. I guess to do a little soul searching and maybe trying to, I don't know, maybe try to take better care of myself and maybe just rest.... How many of us just take a "REST"?? If you really think about it, we as mother's and women don't really ~rest~ We can't!!!! So, I'm forcing myself to try to do just that!!! Collecting is an addiction! I love it! I wish I could buy everything!!! Whenever I walk into an antique mall, shop, or a vintage boutique I get alittle giddy and all warm and fuzzy inside! Is that normal? Please don't answer if it's not!!! I get so much inspiration just looking at how everything is displayed. I actually want my home to look like these places! I just love this time of year!! Everything is frosty on the outside, but everything is toasty on the inside!!! Grab some hot cocoa and relax!

I never really liked oil lamps.... Now, I can't get enough of them!!!! I think I have an obsession!

I love having them lit all at the same time throughout the cottage.. It's so cozy!

Now this, I can't wait to get rewired!!!! I find it really to be shabby, but I LOVE it!!!!!

Fragrant herbs fill the cottage with yummy scents! {{Rosemary is good for: Protection, love and health.. Sage is used for cleansing, and use thyme to focus energy}}

Herbs also make fabulous "Potions"! {{Brew dried cloves & cinnamon in water to bring happiness and calm to your home::::: Mix together in a pretty spray bottle: sea salt, and spring (OR) rain water, spray this to cleanse your home!}}

Jewels are very magical indeed! {{Wear GOLD to spark creativity, wear silver to balance your emotions. Wear coral to attract love! Emerald is good for healing. And opal for protection.}}

I have alittle news alert~Hard times have hit here at the cottage, financially that is.... I never thought this would happen. I won't get into details because I'm sure you all know how this could happen! It's happening all over the country. All I hope is to bounce out of this one day. It's a hard struggle for me right now, BUT not all is at loss here!! My loss could be your gain!!!

What does home mean? What does it mean to you? Is it a place you come just to sleep and shower? A crash pad if you will... Is it a place that you can hang out at? Or is it a place of refuge? Can you be yourself there? Is it a place full of love and smiles, or work and frowns? Can you create there? Home is so many different things to so many different people. My home is a work in progress, it's not really the way I want it to be. I live with my hubby and 2 children! It's hard to live just "your" way at home when you have others to share it with! Do you live alone? Or is there a bustling family buzzing around you?!! Is your home quiet or loud? Cluttered or Minimal? So many questions about just one little word, HOME!! Home is what you make it! Home can refuel your soul, refresh you spirit! I've found a book that shows so many different homes and lives! It's very interesting!!!

Maybe think about your home, what could you change if you could!!!!!!!!?? Or would it stay just the way it is?

Do you have babies to snuggle with?

Wonderful little children running around you, wanting to create and play with you?

Do you have cozy, pretty rooms?

Hello~ One sunny {{hot}} afternoon, I heard a little shuffling at the front door of the cottage. I ran with excitement to open the door and sadly no~one was near. I look down, and there was a box, I couldn't believe my eyes. I wasn't expecting a package I thought. I brought it inside and hop and skipped to get my silver letter opener and I looked at the name of who this delightful little package was from and it said Kimberlee Edgar, oh how pleased I was, a smile came quickly upon my face and I think I saw a sparkle in my eye as I passed my mirror... I carefully opened the box, I was so pleased at what my eyes had feasted upon!!!!!
